About us

timto cofounders - Nathan and Luke Cornish

timto; the award winning Uplifting Gifting service.

timto is the unique group gifting service which aims to change the way that people celebrate special occasions. Instead of giving individual presents, our service enables friends to give better gifts together with the added feel good factor of a donation to charity too. That's why we call it Uplifting Gifting!

Launched in 2010, by brothers; Luke and Nathan Cornish, the idea was formed after the sixth birthday party of Nathan’s daughter.

She received so many presents from her school friends that it took two giant sacks to carry them home. The overwhelming generosity from the party guests made them consider how much money had collectively been spent on gifts. The initial idea for timto was met with much enthusiasm from friends and so they began their research. Parents repeatedly said that more than 20% of their child’s birthday presents were duplicated, unused or even worse just thrown out.

By 2015 timto aims to have raised more than £3 million for charities and make incorporating giving into gifting occasions the social norm.
