Who makes the decision about the charitable aspect?
It's the celebrator (or organiser) who decides which charity to add to the gift list and what proportion will be donated to the charity. So the celebrator (or organiser) can donate as much of the total amount collected as they like, subject to a minimum £5.
For example: If a total of £100 is contributed by friends and family, the charitable donation could range from £5 up to the £100, with the balance going on gifts from the wish list - you decide.
If you give permission you will also receive a 'thank you' from the charity you chose together with a description as to how your donation will make a difference.
